Anakin vs. Revan

Anakin RotS and Revan from the Revan novel.

Fight to the death!

I'd say Revan in a very close fight.

I wanna go with Anakin but the Mentor has taught me much of him and i feel inclined to give to Revan. Great Force feats and apparent mastery/versatility in every form makes a powerful combatant

Basically here's my reasoning. Anakin is the superior in martial combat, but Revan is a greater master of the force. With both of their strengths they can certainly contend with each other.

What I think would win Revan the day is his tactical ingenuity. Both his expert tactics and what I believe to be tactical foresight would allow him to use his own abilities in a way that counters Anakin's perfectly, and allow Revan to seize the opportunity to end the fight when Anakin makes a mistake out of recklessness or something.

It would be a close fight, but I'd side with Revan.

I know i might be hounded at because of this, but Anakin has never seemed like the superior duelist to me(when compared to Revan that is) they seem to be pretty even imo with Revan vastly outranking Anakin because of sheer versatility

Versatility allows Revan to operate efficiently in a plethora of situations, but his lack of specialization makes him less efficient in any singular area, one on one combat included.  He won't gain an advantage over the mythos's most proficient Djem So specialist simply because he has more options.

Whilst Revan is a tactical genius, this skill is less applicable in the midst of combat than in the command of an armada, assuming that Revan doesn't have time to prepare a strategy beforehand.  Another overlooked factor is that Anakin is also a highly skilled military general who isn't always the mind-clouded rage beast he was on Mustifar.

In the end Anakin is faster, stronger, more skilled, more powerful, and is better specialized for the engagement.  This is not to say Revan doesn't have a fair chance of victory either, though.  He himself is the more versatile, the more collected combatant, and has a far grander mastery of the Force.  But then again, so did Count Dooku, and I see this engagement ultimately being pretty similar to his own battle with Anakin in RotS.
