Darth Bane's Capabilities against weapons

I am of the personal belief that Darth Bane is highly effective against most weapons shown. Here I will be explaining each one.

Standard Lightsaber
This one is kinda obvious because, as the name implies, it is a very standard weapon that almost all Jedi and Sith are highly familiar with. In terms of armament it provides no unique advantages amongst lightsabers, and given that Bane's training saber was modeled after a standard lightsaber, he is no doubt highly familiar with the weapon from personal experience.

Saberstaff
Bane has specifically trained to counter this one. He dueled several times with Kas'im, a wielder of the saberstaff, while preparing to take Sirak down, another wielder of the saberstaff, and by the end of POD, he considered himself to be familiar with all of its moves and maneuvers. Training his apprentice to wield a saberstaff probably helped some as well.

Curved-hilt Lightsaber
After wielding a curved hilt lightsaber himself for a good twenty years, he is intimately familiar with such a weapon. He is by this point, aware of all of its benefits and weaknesses. Given his intimate familiarity, coming across an enemy with such a weapon wouldn't really catch him off guard.

Dual Blades
Now this may be one of the harder ones to argue for given his difficulty defending against it in POD, however hear me out. Bane's determination and studies all indicate one tendency. Bane is the type of person who will study something that has previously or would otherwise catch him off guard to defend against it. After Kas'im's usage of dual blades almost got Bane killed, it is more than likely that Bane would've strove to learn how to defend against such tactics. Something else to consider is his excessive speed. But not just his speed, as Bane lacks the weakness most speed and power duelists wield. When you put a lot of power behind a blow, its inertia makes it really difficult to stop or change it's direction. Bane is however a master of an ability aptly titled "inertia" that allows him to alter his body's momentum and inertia. Also consider that a person dual wielding effectively splits their strength between two blades, making them susceptible to Bane's power blows. So Bane's training, speed, inertia, and the weakness in dual wielders against power blows, pretty much makes Bane the ideal candidate for taking down someone who dual wields.

Lightwhip
Bane knew Githany was trying to manipulate him from the beginning, and he sought not to tell her about his training with Kas'im so he could hold an edge over her if necessary. This suggests that Bane may have, to an extent, familiarized himself with Githany's chosen weapon. Even if not, Bane has already used his lightning to defend against and push back lightsaber blades. Such a thing would perhaps be even more effective against the flaccidity of the lightwhip's blade.

Lightsaber Pike
The lightsaber pike may be one of the weapons he would be highly effective against considering its statistics as a weapon. Bane is already quite familiar with combat against staff weapons given his training against saberstaffs. The two main differences here are that it can't strike him from both ends, which is a disadvantage, and that one could use its shaft for greater leverage, which would most of the time not measure up to Bane's raw strength. Bane's speed, skill and unpredictability would also make it dangerous to go up against him with such an unwieldy weapon.

Long Handled Lightsaber
Essentially it's advantage here is leverage, making it primarily a power weapon, though in the hands of most opponents would not nearly measure up to Bane's physical power, and thus attempting to fight him with primarily physical strength would leave one dead. Its unwieldy nature again could be exploited by Bane's fast and unpredictable style.

Shoto
Something as small as a shoto certainly wouldn't provide enough defensive coverage to handle Bane's onslaught and lacks the reach to penetrate Bane's defense.

Lightclub
Bane could easily use his agility and speed to get within close enough proximity to the wielder that such a weapon becomes unwieldy.

Explosives
Bane is capable of throwing up a barrier capable of completely protecting him from several grenades at point blank while his force abilities were being suppressed.

Blasters
Bane's mastery of Form III as well as his immense speed enables him to easily counter opponents wielding this sort of weapon. Bane is also capable of creating a wave of energy capable of absorbing blasterbolts.




So basically, by DOE I can't see any weapon granting Bane's opponent an edge over him that he couldn't easily overcome.
