Well now... backing up by claim that the passive effects of Nexuses don't amount to very much in the long run.
1. Darth Bane achieves the exact same speed on Korriban and Lehon, despite the fact that he improved from Korriban to Lehon, the fact that his fight here was more difficult, and most importantly that Lehon was far stronger in the dark side than Korriban. The nexus doesn't appear to be doing anything for Bane's speed here.
2. Dooku's fight with Yoda on Vjun isn't really that much more impressive than his fight with Yoda on Geonosis. They fight, neither hits eachother, and they levitate some shit. Despite the fact that this would have twice the net impact of a Nexus (because Yoda's supposedly being weakened by it as well as Dooku gaining strength), it really doesn't seem to amount to very much
3. The Kun discrepancy. Kun wields ancient sith artifacts and is highly familiar with Sith Sorcery. This means that the Artifacts or Kun could've been actively been drawing on the nexus's energy. There's also the possibility that Kun didn't fully intend to kill Keto, Kun didn't have time to charge a blast because he had to deal with Droma immediately after, or Keto's own abilities allowed her to reduce or absorb most of the damage.
4. Bane's collapse of the Temple of the Ancients on Lehon. In Rule of Two, Bane arguably achieves greater by disintegrating a dozen technobeasts. In Dynasty of Evil, Bane is never presented an opportunity to do something like this. When he's assaulted inside of his mansion, he is inside of the structure, so collapsing his own house on himself wouldn't really make any sense at all, and he was dealing with Cognus's force suppression at the time. In the Stone Prison, he was drugged, didn't want to hit the explosives in the wall, and was trying to keep his position a secret from Zannah.
5. Bane, who frequently notices when something is impacting his power, never says shit about a nexus making him stronger, except for when he is actively drawing on it.
